Momentus Products Summary

Momentus is a company that makes several golf aids. The most famous of these include the Momentus Strength Trainer and the Swing Training Clubs and the World’s #1 Putting Drill. All of these have been made with the insight of some of golf’s greatest coaches and innovators. Momentus is known for their high quality golf aids. Most of the aids have all found their way into infomercials. Chances are if you turn on the Golf Channel in the morning, you’ll find one of their products.

Are Momentus products effective?

Momentus generally across the board are going to help you with your golf swing, plain and simple. Some are better than others, however. The hardest thing is finding the right aid for you. Some aids are for strength, others for swing path, tempo, or a combination of all three. Probably the best out of the bunch are the Momentus Training Clubs, which help eliminate over-the-top swings.

How much are Momentus products?

Momentus golf aids tend to be priced in between the medium and higher end of golf aids. Most of the products can be found online anywhere between $30 and $150.

Are Momentus products good values?

When you buy a Momentus golf aid, you know you are buying a solid product. They might be more expensive than some of the cheaper golf aids, but for the most part the difference in quality is unprecedented. Momentus golf aids are fairly risk free and will help your golf game.

My Golf Training Aid Recommendations

The Sybervision Golf DVD is one of the best-selling golf training aids of all time. It's based on principle of muscle memory. Essentially, if you watch the "perfect" golf swing over and over again, your subconcious tells your body -- your muscles -- what to do.

The Sybervision method was discovered and developed at Stanford University. It's been endorsed by dozens of athletes from various sports. If you were a golfer in the 80's, you've undoubtedly heard of this program. If you're part of "Generation Y," such as myself, then chances are you haven't. I "discovered" it in a Golf Magazine at my Dentist's office. America's Top 100 Golf Pros voted on the best training aids of all time. Two out of the top three were Sybervision. So I decided to give it a shot and have no regrets.

My second pick is the Medicus Dual Hinge Driver. It helps correct two key components of a good golf swing: plane and tempo. It helps you get rid of that slice and it helps you hit the ball longer and straighter.

If you haven't seen the Medicus Driver, check out the video on the manufacturer's site.

It's essentually a typical driver with two hinges. If your takeway is off plane, the hinge breaks and you won't hit the ball. The same thing happens if your try to crush the ball, helping you perfect your tempo.

I bought my Medicus for $200 about two years ago. Since then, the prices have dropped. You can get it for about $160. They're even offering a free trial. For more info, click on the links below.

The "Simple Golf Swing" is my favorite Golf eBook available. If you're a technical learner (such as myself) and not totally lost (I was VERY lost), then this book is a great choice to help straighten out your ball flight.

I got a lot out of my "Simple Golf Swing" purchase. Not only does it detailed pictures of every step of the golf swing, but it also includes video with great side notes. Plus, it recommends dozens of great drills with video examples so you know you're doing them right. After all, only perfect practice makes perfect.

If you have the time and patience to study and truly learn the golf swing, the "Simple Golf Swing" eBook is a great choice. It's the cheapest of the three recommendation at only $47.00 and it's an instant download.

As a PGA Professional and instructor I highly recommend this training aid to help show my student the correct muscle usage needed to accelerate the club and location of that acceleration.

This is an excellent trainer to improve and strength your golf muscles, but just don’t try to swing it hard or fast! Also, it’s a good warm-up golf club, rather than trying to hang on to two clubs! As far as helping my swing, I have found it more helpful to swing a shaft without a head on it. I have several broken shafts (found in a trash can at the golf course) which help you “feel” the club head in your swing. It helps with your swing speed, too. As a bonus, they (broken club shafts) can used as alignment sticks, rather than using one of your other clubs.
