Peak Performance Golf Swing Summary

Don Trahan, father of PGA Tour professional D.J. Trahan designed this approach to the golf swing.  Don Trahan is widely considered one of the top teaching professionals in America, and divulges his years of knowledge and experience in this program.  The main focuses of the program are the driver swing, golf health and fitness, and other aspects of golf instruction including: swing fundamentals, the mental game and course management, short game help, and various drills.
The product itself claims that you will add 35 yards to your drive, build a more back-friendly swing, while helping to eliminate hooks and slices.  The comprehensive approach to the golf game is impressive.  Too often people focus on hitting the ball better (which this program will help you do), while failing to understand the fundamentals of putting, the mental game, and course management.  Improving your approach and understanding of the game will do just as much as the physical improvement.  With that said, Trahan’s Peak Performance Golf Swing program will help you to do all of the designs of the program - improve the swing dramatically while improving your approach to the game.  This formula will lead to lower scores.

Is Peak Performance Golf Swing effective?

Yes.  Peak Performance Golf Swing focuses on the basics of the golf swing.  Mastering the basics will help you to understand the golf swing, and help you to lower your scores.  The holistic approach to the game is one of the hottest fads on the golf market, and this product gives you comprehensive and effective lessons.

How much is the Peak Performance Golf Swing?

$67 for the set of DVDs, a great deal for the lessons.  Personal lessons can run upwards of $500 an hour.

Peak Performance Golf Swing Pros:

As an experienced and highly qualified teacher, Don Trahan knows the golf swing.  The key to a successful and repeatable swing is simplicity.  Don Trahan teaches a swing that is simply beautiful, and beautifully simple.  Focusing on the basics of grip, swing, and and the mental game, you will get a comprehensive approach to the game, and notice big changes in your golf game.  With DVDs, you will be able learn, and repeat the lessons so that the changes that Don Trahan teaches you will be able to be ingrained.  This is a great learning resource that will be able to help improve your golf game.

Peak Performance Golf Swing GTS Cons:

You certainly can learn a lot about the golf swing from DVDs.  However, it is often easier said than done.  The only way to get better at golf is to focus on practice, practice, practice.  The ideal way to get better is personal lessons, but this will do if you are looking for a cheaper alternative.

My Golf Training Aid Recommendations

The Sybervision Golf DVD is one of the best-selling golf training aids of all time. It's based on principle of muscle memory. Essentially, if you watch the "perfect" golf swing over and over again, your subconcious tells your body -- your muscles -- what to do.

The Sybervision method was discovered and developed at Stanford University. It's been endorsed by dozens of athletes from various sports. If you were a golfer in the 80's, you've undoubtedly heard of this program. If you're part of "Generation Y," such as myself, then chances are you haven't. I "discovered" it in a Golf Magazine at my Dentist's office. America's Top 100 Golf Pros voted on the best training aids of all time. Two out of the top three were Sybervision. So I decided to give it a shot and have no regrets.

My second pick is the Medicus Dual Hinge Driver. It helps correct two key components of a good golf swing: plane and tempo. It helps you get rid of that slice and it helps you hit the ball longer and straighter.

If you haven't seen the Medicus Driver, check out the video on the manufacturer's site.

It's essentually a typical driver with two hinges. If your takeway is off plane, the hinge breaks and you won't hit the ball. The same thing happens if your try to crush the ball, helping you perfect your tempo.

I bought my Medicus for $200 about two years ago. Since then, the prices have dropped. You can get it for about $160. They're even offering a free trial. For more info, click on the links below.

The "Simple Golf Swing" is my favorite Golf eBook available. If you're a technical learner (such as myself) and not totally lost (I was VERY lost), then this book is a great choice to help straighten out your ball flight.

I got a lot out of my "Simple Golf Swing" purchase. Not only does it detailed pictures of every step of the golf swing, but it also includes video with great side notes. Plus, it recommends dozens of great drills with video examples so you know you're doing them right. After all, only perfect practice makes perfect.

If you have the time and patience to study and truly learn the golf swing, the "Simple Golf Swing" eBook is a great choice. It's the cheapest of the three recommendation at only $47.00 and it's an instant download.
